Regarding the SBI Policy on “Valuation and Empanelment of Valuers” issued in 2019, there were three aspects that were not favorable to the Valuers Fraternity. These included:
1. The maximum age for a valuer to remain on the panel was set at 70 years.
2. Valuers were required to furnish a letter of indemnity.
3. Minimum fees and eligibility criteria were specified for conducting valuations for loan amounts.
