IOV is governed by an elected council of 22 members consisting of different committees of renowned valuers practicing in their respective fields. Functioning of Institution of Valuers consists of the following :

• IOV accords membership for different kinds of assets in 20 different categories like Engineers, Surveyors, Ornaments, Chartered Accountants, etc.
• IOV with reckoning imparts skillful education and dispenses a platform to various valuation professional aspirants as well as supports the Indian cohort.
• IOV grants certification to Students, Licentiates, Associates, and Fellows in 20 categories of assets class.
• IOV provides with Valuers Registration and is amongst the top 5 Valuers Association of the world.

IOV has marked its presence around the globe in alliance with countries like The USA, Japan, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia and Romania. Being the first national professional valuation society, IOV has the global status of a leading valuation institution achieving membership over 32000 valuers.
