IOV offers individual and institutional membership to the members of the Valuation fraternity, to strengthen their professional standing.

A Pioneer Organisation in Valuation Profession, IOV assists and guides general public, government and semi-government bodies in adjudicating valuation-related disputes through its Experts Council, certifying valuation professionals and developing valuation standards.
With decades of experience in the field of Valuation, fostering growth and advancement of the Valuation fraternity, and providing them with a common platform to raise their concerns with respect to the profession, IOV has always maintained its stand as an ethical Valuation body, working tirelessly towards guiding the Valuation professionals, and safeguarding them from indulging in mal-practices.
Father of Valuation in India
The genesis of the Institution of Valuers traces back to the unwavering dedication and persistent endeavours of Late Sh. P.C. Goel — a visionary acknowledged as the "Father of Valuation" in India. A man of forthright decisiveness, creativity, and leadership, his disciplined approach garnered laurels and drove him to adopt the then-emerging profession of Valuation. His desire to elevate Valuation to the heights it deserved motivated him to establish the Institution of Valuers on 2nd October 1968 — a date also celebrated as the birthday of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri.

Every year, IOV holds its annual event, which acts as a benchmarking event for the entire Valuation fraternity. Diverse topics are covered through technical sessions, held by eminent speakers with decades of experience in their respective fields.
Our Journals are a pool of knowledge, where eminent Valuers, with decades of experience, get their informative articles published.
IOV conducts a variety of Specialised Certificate Programmes, providing an opportunity to the aspiring, as well as experienced Valuers, to enhance their skills and knowledge on Valuation, and aid them in their professional growth.
The active members of IOV, who have been updating their knowledge through continuing education programme viz. seminars, workshops, etc. conducted by IOV and its branches.
The IOV Council consists of 24 members, who are appointed by a fair process of election.
