What are the advantages of this course on Enterprise Valuation?
Usually as a valuer you are only aware of one class of asset – be it L&B, P&M or SFA which restricts your area of working where you have to value company as a whole. This course will enable you to value company as a whole which is the need of hour in case of acquisitions, IBC etc
I am a Land and Building Valuer. Can I do Valuation of P&M & S&FA? If not, then what is the meaning of this "multiple asset classes converge within a single enterprise"?
When the law requires any valuation to be done by a specific asset valuer- then such valuation will be done by that specific valuer. But in other cases of business advisory- like M&A, fund raising, angel investor funding, sale price determination for negotiation, legal dispute/litigation/arbitration matters - any category of valuer can do valuation if he is aware of the same.
Where should I apply based on this certificate if it is an add-on for me? What are the direct benefits, & where can I avail them?
Recently IBBI has suggested use of Enterprise value and the concept of Coordinator valuer who will be consolidating all valuation to give the Enterprise value. In such cases this certificate will give an edge to the valuer in being appointed as the Coordinator Valuer. COC also requires a valuer who can present complete picture of the CD for taking any decisions. It will also give an added advantage in all business advisory works
How valuable is this certificate for me as a Registered Valuer?
This certificate adds significant value even for Registered Valuers. While your RV license already authorizes you to perform valuations in your asset class, this program equips you with the ability to consolidate valuations across multiple asset classes and present the enterprise value. With IBBI’s proposed Coordinator Valuer framework, this certificate strengthens your eligibility to be appointed as a Coordinator Valuer, giving you an edge in insolvency, mergers, and other enterprise-level assignments.
I am already in the field of valuation (without RV License) how useful is this certificate for me? Provide a list of the industries where I can approach.
This certificate is equally useful for professionals without an RV license, as it builds credibility and enhances your ability to handle enterprise-level assignments. It positions you for advisory roles in industries where enterprise valuation is critical, such as:
- Insolvency and Bankruptcy proceedings
- Mergers and Acquisitions
- Strategic and financial decision-making
- Risk management
- Litigation support and arbitration
- Corporate finance and investment advisory
By completing this program, you can confidently approach these sectors and demonstrate integrated valuation capability, which is increasingly sought after in today’s business environment.
Any Job placement
This course is designed to enhance professional capability rather than guarantee direct placement. However, it significantly strengthens your profile for opportunities in insolvency, mergers & acquisitions, litigation support, and advisory roles where enterprise valuation expertise is increasingly in demand. Many organizations prefer professionals who can present a holistic view of business value, and this certificate positions you well for such assignments.
Does the course have a structured fee?
The course does have a structured fee, as mentioned in the brochure. The investment reflects the specialized training, certification, and recognition you gain. For IOV and IOV RVf members, a 20% discount is provided, making it more accessible to those already part of the valuation community.
Why is the Fee so high?
While the fee may appear high at first glance, it is important to consider the value of the certification. It is aligned with IBBI’s proposed framework and recognized by NSDC, which adds credibility and professional weight. The training spans 50 hours with practical case studies, making it a comprehensive program. The discount for members further reduces the cost, ensuring affordability for those engaged with IOV.
Is there any particular software for this course, that is specifically for Enterprises Valuation?
Software tools are only effective when the underlying concepts are well understood. This course ensures you build a strong foundation in enterprise valuation, enabling you to use any specialized software more effectively. The focus is on knowledge first, so that technology becomes a tool rather than a crutch.
If I am a primary member, can I start working based on this certificate?
Yes, in areas where valuation is not strictly mandated by law, a primary member with sound knowledge of valuation concepts can undertake assignments. Additionally, under proposed Income Tax rules, primary members may perform valuations for tax purposes subject to registration requirements. This certificate strengthens your credibility and readiness for such opportunities.
As a registered valuer, I am working in the market. Does this certificate allow me to value P&M and S&FA? Otherwise, what is the use for those who have an IBBI License, Approved Valuers or Income Tax Registration?
The certificate does not override legal requirements for specific asset valuations. If the law mandates that only a particular class of valuer can perform an assignment, that rule applies. However, for enterprise-level valuations, advisory work, and contexts like M&A, insolvency, or litigation, this certificate equips you to consolidate valuations across asset classes and present the enterprise value. For registered valuers, it adds a competitive edge by broadening the scope of assignments you can confidently handle.
